Greater Bay Real Estate Group, LLC is an affiliation of real estate companies owned, operated and managed by Greater Bay Development Corporation. Greater Bay Development Corporation is a family owned and operated real estate investment and development Company.

The Company, founded by A. J. Lazzareschi, was incorporated as National Iron Works in the early 1940s. National Iron Works operated as a steel fabricator and erector, and was subcontractor on many projects throughout California and the Western United States. After World War II, and construction growth in the 1950s, the Company embarked on real estate investment and development.

In 1960, National Iron Works was sold, and the Company changed its name to Lazzareschi Investment Company. The Company operated as a real estate investment and development company with offices in Walnut Creek, California. Taking advantage of a strong economy and the need for office facilities in Walnut Creek, the Company undertook the development of the first modern multi-story office building in downtown Walnut Creek. This building, while currently dwarfed by high-rise offices in other areas of the City, represents the beginning of a vision for, and commitment to, quality real estate development by the Company.

Greater Bay was incorporated in 1965. While its primary focus has been investment and development in Walnut Creek, California, the Company has invested in real estate throughout the East Bay.

In 1981, management of Company operations was transferred to Craig Lazzareschi. A series of syndicated real estate investments and developments followed, as well as partnership and Company owned development projects. In 1982, Lynne Lazzareschi joined the Company to handle management of all company properties.

In April of 2002, the Company entered into a business alliance with MCC Realty Group, Inc., and all property management was transferred to MCC. MCC’s management team includes property superintendents, as well as experienced bookkeepers and property managers.
